H&G succeeds through contributions from members, sales money from fair trade commodities, and members' voluntary work.

About fair trade

･Fair trade is concerned with supporting women's independent commerce, and also that of artists and artisans.

･Fair trade pays the maker directly: a local member enables this direct payment. Local members mediate with artisans so goods are true-to-the-culture, and are high-quality.
